Leonard G. Dunston African-Centered Nea Onnim Circle Fund

In January 1996, the NABSW National Steering Committee, under the administration of 7th President Leonard G. Dunston, voted unanimously to establish a certification program in African-centered Social Work. Since its inception, over 150 graduates have completed the year-long course led by African Centered Sages who specialize in liberating practices. In 2022, the NABSW Steering Committee renamed the Academy to the Leonard Dunston African Centered Circle. At the NABSW 55th Conference, a Gala in honor of Baba Dunston was hosted. This Gala was a significant event, where we all came together to celebrate our achievements and raise funds to continue NABSW's commitment to Pan-Africanism and liberating practitioners from Western practices through the Leonard G. Dunston African Centered Circle.
