Position Papers are academically-based articles created and supported by the National Association of Black Social Workers, Inc., to address policy and practice issues as theyOriginal Family Preservation Position Paper pertain to the African American community.  Position Papers provide mandates for best practice for human service professionals and organizations providing services to African American individuals, families, and communities

 

The following Position Papers are written on the topics:

  • Preserving African American Families
  • Domestic Violence in the African American Community
  • Preserving Families of African Ancestry

 

This collection is frequently updated as new Position Papers are written to address the needs of African American communities.  All Position Papers have been approved by the National Steering Committee, NABSW's voting body.
