WELCOME to NABSW 50th Anniversary Celebration!!

 The National Association of Black Social Workers (NABSW) is excited to present our 50th Annual Conference on April 3-7, 2018 at the beautiful Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina. Our theme, “Celebrating Our Legacy: Fulfilling the Dream,” Join us and take part in an array of workshops, seminars, galas and celebratory events in recognition of 50 years advocacy and service in the interest of the Black community. This an educational conference that will feature prominent keynote speakers, inspiring opening institutes and motivating and instructional workshops on practice, policy and social justice issues that affect the everyday lives and destiny of Black individuals, Black families and Black communities.

As you review the program, note that our family symposium will address family preservation and kinship care, two of NABSW’s flagship areas of research, advocacy and practice. Our social issues symposium will put a spotlight on issues related to the 2018 political elections in this country and focus on the critical nature of our role in voter education and mobilization and combating voter suppression.

In this our 50th year, we invite you to join us in giving accolades and tributes to our founders for their courage and vision, and NABSW’s sustainability and leadership as warriors for social justice and civil liberties for people of Black African ancestry..
